successfully revolutionized the motorcycle txi transportation industry. The
features offered by GO-JEK are various, such as shipping goods, ordering food,
shopping and travelling in a traffic jam.
Childhood
From various sources obtained, Nadiem makarim founder of
GO-JEK was born in Singapore, July 4 1984. He has a father named Nono Anwar Makarim who comes
from Pekalongan who is a lawyer and mother named Atika Algadrie from Pasuruan
who works in the non-profit field. Nadiem Makarim has two sisters.
Nadiem Makarim’s wife named Franka Franklin, they married in
2014 ago. From this marriage, Nadiem Makarim has a child named Solara Franklin
Makarim.
It was learned that Nadiem Makarim began elementary school in
Jakarta, ten he graduated from high school in Singapore, from Singapore he then
continued his education in International Relations at Brown University, USA.[1]

And for a year Nadiem Makarim attended a foreign exchange
program at the London School of Economics. He also continued his studied at Harvard
Business School, Harvard University and graduated with an MBA (Master of Business
of Administration)
Nadiem Makarim is known to have worked at a MCkinsey &
Company a well-known consultant in Jakarta and spent three years working there.
He was also known to have worked as a Co-founder and Managing Editor at Zalora
Indonesia and later became Chief Innovation officier of my card.[2]

and Establish Gojek
Armed with a lot of experience while working, Nadiem Makarim
then ventured to quit his job and founded the GO-JEK company in 2011.[3]

That simple reason made Nadiem Makarim try to pineer his own
company which became known as GO-JEK armed with work experience and
enterprenuership.
GO-JEK Business Ideas
GO-JEK’s transportation business idea itself comes from
Nadiem’s thoughts when he discussed with his motorcycle taxi drivers.[4] Nadiem Makarim
rarely uses cars because f his high mobility, he often uses motorcycle taxi
services.
From his conversations with motorbike tax drivers, he
discovered the fact that almost all motorcyclet taxi drivers spend their time
just waiting for customers and finding it difficult to find customers. On the other
hand, Jakarta’s traffic congestion is getting worse, so we need a fast
transportation service and fast delivery to help the citizens of Jakarta.[5]
The Beginning f
GO-JEK
Then in 2011, GO-JEK as an official company was founed by
Nadiem Makarim who later served as CEO of GO-JEK. Beginning with GO-JEK, Nadiem
had 20 Motorcycle drivers. And the system offered is via telephone call center.
Where customers contact the callc center directly to get the closest driver.
At the time, the number of GO-JEK employees was still very
limited and the drivers were still very limited. But the belief of Nadiem
Makarim about his company made Gojek able to survive until it advanced rapidly
the Next few years.[6]
Capital injection

The GO-JEK service offers convenience and speed by working
with Ojek drivers under the GO-JEK company.
GO-JEK services Nadiem Makarim offers goods and food
delivery services, transportation. And shopping services. GO-JEK grew few after
getting an injection of funds from a Singaporean Investment company, Northstar
Group.
